Intaglio and Digital prints
2016
For the Physics and Astronomy Residency I worked with Dr. Jeremy Levy’s Lab to conduct my own experiments creating “nano” sketches. As I proceeded with the experiments it became clear that the actual process of experimentation was what I was most interested in.
The prints created are either methods within the etching studio that are analogous to those done in the research lab, or manipulated snapshots of the experiments conducted within the lab. I sought to interweave the scientific experimental process with my own art making process to arrive at work that combines the two fields and my own experience within them.
